Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival in Leh
- Welcome at Leh Airport.
- Pickup and transfer to the hotel.
- Rest of the day for acclimatization.
- Evening: Visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace and Market.
- Overnight stay: Hotel in Leh.
Day 02 :
Monastery Tour
- After breakfast: Full-day monastery sightseeing:
Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis, Stakna, Stok, Matho, Chemday, Thak Thok. 3 Idiots School and Sindhu River View.
Overnight stay: Hotel in Leh.
Day 03 :
Leh to Padum (Zanskar Valley) via Chillin
- Early breakfast and drive to Padum via Chilling (approx. 7–8 hrs). Scenic route with enroute sightseeing.
- Overnight stay: Hotel in Padum.
Day 04 :
Padum Local Sightseeing
- Sani Monastery & Sani Lake (Guru Rinpoche Statue).
- Karsha Monastery – Largest and oldest in Zanskar, linked to Padmasambhava.
- Overnight stay: Hotel in Padum
Day 05 :
Trek to Phuktal Monastery
- Drive to Purne Village, then 1.5 hrs trek (one-way) to Phuktal Monastery.
- Built into a cave, this 12th-century monastery is one of Zanskar's gems.
- Enroute visit Bardam Monastery.
- Return to Padum.
- Overnight stay: Guesthouse in Padum.
Day 06 :
Padum to Leh via Lamayuru
- Early morning drive back to Leh via Lamayuru Monastery and other enroute sights.
- Late evening arrival.
- Overnight stay: Hotel in Leh.
Day 07 :
Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La (18,380 ft)
- Drive through Khardung-La, one of the world’s highest motorable passes.
- Visit:Diskit Monastery & Maitreya Buddha Statue.
- Walk along Shayok River banks.
- Hunder Sand Dunes – Optional double-humped camel ride.
- Overnight stay: Hotel/Camp in Hunder.
Day 08 :
Excursion to Turtuk Village & Thang (Zero Point)
- Visit Turtuk Village – The last Indian village near the Indo-Pak border.
- Drive further to Thang Zero Point (with valid permits).
- Return to Hunder.
- Overnight stay: Hotel/Camp.
Day 09 :
Hunder to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route
- Drive along Shyok River to Pangong Lake (approx. 5 hrs).
- Stop at Tangtse Village enroute.
- Spend time at the scenic Pangong Tso (14,000 ft) – a saltwater lake shared by India & China.
- Overnight stay: Camp near Pangong.
Day 10 :
Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass
- After breakfast, return to Leh via Changla Pass (17,688 ft).
- Leisure time at Leh Market or relax at the hotel.
- Overnight stay: Hotel in Leh.
Day 11 :
Departure
Early morning transfer to Leh Airport for your return flight
